Cancellation by VMCL
Where circumstances dictate, VMCL reserves the right to alter the published dates of training courses. We will ensure you are placed on another course which completes your training before the date set by the Court.
Failure to Attend
Your failure to attend will result in you having to book another course. This will incur a rebooking fee of £50 for each rebooking. We are unable to issue any refund for courses you book but fail to attend.
There is no formal dress code; however, most participants choose to wear smart casual clothing.
Conduct and Behaviour
Detailed 'Ground Rules' governing the conduct and behaviour of those attending VMCL courses are enclosed with your booking confirmation letter.
High Risk Offenders
No person convicted of drink driving is permitted to drive until their licence is returned by the DVLA. If you are classified as a High Risk Offender you will be required to pass a medical conducted by a Doctor before DVLA will return your licence. This process may impact upon the date when you are able to drive again. VMCL Limited are not informed who will require a medical and we have no influence over the process. If you are unsure whether you are a HIgh Risk Offender, contact the DVLA on 0300 7906 825.
It is a legal requirement that you must attend 16 hours of tuition to qualify for a reduction in your disqualification period. The VMCL course is 18 hours long to accommodate this requirement and allow for refreshment breaks. The schedule means there is practically no flexibility to join the course after it has started.
Attendance is strictly regulated. If you are more than 15 minutes late when attending the first training session, or more than 5 minutes late for the subsequent sessions you will not be permitted to enter the training room. In these circumstances, you must contact the VMCL administration office to rebook the remainder of your course. This will depend on course availability, the date set by the Court for your course completion and the payment of a rebooking fee.
